KATWA UDYOG LTD (530977) :- A VALUEABLE GEM
Today we are discussing another stock from small cap segment this stock only for long term investors.
" KATWA UDYOG LTD"
Shri Keshav Cement & Infra. Ltd. (KCIL) (Formerly KATWA UDYOG
LIMITED) is Public limited Company incorporated in the year 1993 to
manufacture 43 grade and 53 grade Ordinary Portland Cement. The company
raised capital via IPO during 1995 to raise capital of 512.42 lakhs
which was over subscribed by 12 times. The stocks are actively traded in
Mumbai Stock Exchange. The company has posted profits since inception.
Keshav Cement has unique physical and chemical characteristics. The
cement is naturally alkaline in nature which prevents corrosion of the
internal steel structure. This can be best seen in the coastal regions
with high levels of salinity. Due to high CaO content in the limestone,
the compressive strength achieved is superior compared to BIS
specification for 53 grade cement. The available raw material also has
lower silica content (<4%) which results in better burning and
increased grinding thus giving perfect bonding characteristics. Also due
to low manganese content, expansion during the manufacturing process is
reduced which contributes to crack-less surfaces.
Promoter holding nearly 68% of equity capital, company posted 48.2cr top line and 1.62cr bottom line with 5.32 EPS for last year (2014-15) book value of the company is 33.62, and market cap is just 25.90cr.
